Sebastian represents the helpless and timid feeling that often accompanies great anxiety. Sebastian was created for a story based in a "dead" forest. All the animals and plants in the environment were decaying or already dead, such as the forest fire rabbit, the taxidermy owl and in Sebastian's case an emaciated, deformed, and frail hybrid creature.
